Game of Thrones by George R. R Martin

I have recently read I have recently read Game of Thrones book one by George R. R Martin. The book takes place in the fantasy world of Westeros where there presides seven ruling kingdoms all under command of one king who sits on the iron throne. The book is read very similarly to Lord of the rings because it is in fact very similar! The book is about the anarchy that occurs after the current king dies. There are a slew of main characters, many who actually die! It is a very fast, high octane adventure that is a must read to all fantasy fans. ~ Alex C. (per. 7/8)

    This book seems very exciting. Usually when I have read books when main characters die, they are very interesting books. I think I may pick this series up once I ever finish The Lord of the Rings.

    This book seems really interesting seeing that it is similar to the Lord of the Rings and is a fantasy book. Also, my brother has read it and said it was very good so this is the next book on my list.

    I never cared to read Lord of the Rings because many people have told me that it has too many words, and not enough action. This book sounds like it's more interesting but similar to the Lord of the Rings series.

    This looks like a good book, I am reading The Hobbit and plan on reading Lord of the Rings afterwords. Fantasy/Fiction is a good genre because it is about something completely different from real life that can be made up into anything. Also I have heard from other people that this is a good book/series. I like The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings and so I think I'll like this book too.

    Ever since the show came on, I've always wanted to read it. It sounds really interesting and epic. I think I should probably finish Lord of the Rings first, though. I'll add it to my list of books to read this summer.

    Game of Thrones has been a series that has always interested me. I've wanted to read the books after hearing how good the show is on TV. How does the book compare to the show on TV?

    Seems to be a popular book. A lot of schools play games with it and so on. I wonder what part you liked the most? Like Ross, I'm adding this to my list.

    Sounds like an awesome book. I love books that are set in the past and have a bunch of sword fights and action and adventure. It sounds like a very interesting book and series. I would definitely read this for summer reading.

    I watched the movies of Lord of the Rings, and I really enjoyed it. Since I like fantasy books and Lord of the Rings, I think I will read this during the summer

    This book seems epic. I've heard from many people that this book was good. Also, I've watched the TV show and if the show is anything like the book, it's definitely worth reading. This may be a new summer reading book for me.
